Annapolis (10/29/10): Democratic County Executive candidate Joanna Conti voiced concern today over the misuse of taxpayer funds by County Executive John Leopold. On Wednesday, WBAL-TV 11 investigative reporter Jayne Miller reported that Mr. Leopold has three different county vehicles assigned to him, one of which is parked at his girlfriend’s house.

ANNAPOLIS (10/25/10): Joanna Conti, the Democratic nominee for Anne Arundel county executive, announced today that she raised $95,335 in the campaign reporting period ending Oct. 17, 2010, almost quadruple the $25,294 John Leopold raised during this period. Since she entered the race last October, Conti has raised $338,458, more than triple the $96,879 John Leopold raised during this period.

Two weeks ago, Leopold indicated that the $30 million in potential revenue the county would receive from slot machines could be used by the county to pay for services.

ANNAPOLIS, Maryland (1/20/10) – Joanna Conti announced today that she raised $56,752 in three months in her race to become the next County Executive of Anne Arundel County. This amount is nearly 35 times the amount raised by her Republican opponent, John Leopold, during all of 2009.
